Building & Development Permits

A permit is required for any new construction or any additions to existing structures, or for work that requires an inspection. This includes work performed by the homeowner or business owner. The City of Springville Inspections Department is responsible for issuing permits, performing inspections, and enforcing zoning and building codes.
The following are required for a building permit:
- One full set of detailed construction drawings
- A plot plan showing the set backs in relation to the lot lines
- Written certification from the Health Department of approval for the septic tank, if applicable. A drawing should accompany it, showing where the septic tank and lines will be placed.
- A completed building permit application.
